On Thursday, 21st August, GBPensions officially launched our Silver sponsorship of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra by attending The Music is Bond at the ASB Theatre, Aotea Square.
We were joined by a select group of friends and clients, who certainly rose to the occasion and came dressed to kill! Iconic British brand Jaguar was there too. Here we are with the APO’s business development manager, Stuart Angel (front right) by a fairly stunning Jaguar car.
The concert featured all the Bond themes (except for two – any guesses?) and other 007- associated pieces, including the first music to feature in Dr No and “Soul Bossa Nova”, as featured in Austin Powers, International Man of Mystery. To say that the evening was hugely enjoyable is a gross understatement and I am so proud that GBPensions are now supporting this wonderful organisation of talented people, who do some great community out-reach work too. Yes, some of their concerts are certainly for discerning classical music lovers, but much of what they perform is accessible for the rest of us too. Please do take a moment to browse their forthcoming events and of course, look out for the VIP ticket competitions that we’ll be running over the coming months.
